Mimi Gannon
Mimi Gannon’s work is inspired by her friends, family, travels, and her love of landscapes. Growing up in San Francisco, she developed a deep appreciation for the city’s ever-changing skies and coastal views. She also spent much of her life visiting New Orleans, where her family lives. The city’s vibrant color and creative joie de vivre continue to infuse her work with energy and spirit.
For the past six years, Mimi has made her home in Tennessee with her husband, four children, and their dog. She has come to love the lush greenery and sunsets of this region, finding endless inspiration in its four seasons and shifting landscapes.
In addition to landscapes and abstracts, Mimi is drawn to portraiture. She is fascinated by the nuances of human expression, conveyed through body language and the subtleties of the face.
Mimi studied fine arts and art history at UC Berkeley, the Academy of Art, the San Francisco Art Institute, and Università di Venezia. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.e
