Kate Ferrell is a mixed media artist known for her abstracted florals and landscapes.

She has been featured in The Scouted Studio’s Spring Emerging Artist Show and was selected as one of 37 artists from over 750 applicants for Shain Gallery’s Up and Coming Invitational in Charlotte, NC. Additional past exhibitions include the MBA Art Show, Artclectic, ArtXtravaganza (Knoxville), District Gallery (Knoxville), & Spotlight on Art (Atlanta).

Influenced by childhood summers in the Great Smoky Mountains and by the organic rhythms of her mother’s garden, Kate’s work is a celebration of color, shape, texture,and pattern. With a background in clinical social work, she approaches her art as a visual mindfulness practice, providing viewers a place to pause and reflect.

Kate graduated from Davidson College where she received formal studio art and art history education. She lives in Nashville, TN, with her family and is driven by collaboration and a commitment to giving back to her community through her work.
